Biography
Kaitlyn Roberts' work reflects her personal interests, such as the way people live. She looks through the lens with social issues, portrait pieces, and experimental documentaries in mind. Roberts molds memories into timeless stories. Her goal is to continue learning while giving back to the community. Kaitlyn Roberts hopes, to give voices to those who deserve to be heard. Big or little, she believes in the power of words and actions. Roberts trusts in the people who use that language to make sense of the world we all live in.
Roberts film Novality and Fare Thee Well screened at Trinity College Dublin, The University of Ireland on June 2018. Her personal accomplishments include a handful of volunteer positions within the community as well as assisting in film productions. Roberts received an education that aids in her ability to create and tell the stories within her community and allows her to explore her passions of experimental film and social justice topics.
Kaitlyn Roberts was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in July of 1997. Roberts currently lives in Saint Louis, Missouri. Previously, Kaitlyn has lived in; Syracuse, New York, Greenville, South Carolina, Memphis, Tennessee, and Columbia, Missouri. She is no stranger to traveling, nor does she shy away from it. Rather, Roberts would like to use her degree to travel and see as much of the world as she possibly can. Roberts earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Storytelling at the University of Missouri in the Summer of 2019. She previously worked as a Creative Video Intern at FleishmanHillard in Saint Louis, Missouri for the first half of 2020. Roberts is now taking time to work on personal projects with a group of creatives.
