My work reflects on my personal interest in the way we, as humans, exist in this world. I look through the lens of my camera with social issues, portrait pieces, and experimental documentaries. The world we live in today is a complex system of actions and reactions. People dying to live and others living to die. Everything about the people who coexist between delirium and wild passion for life is what pushes me to learn more about those interesting souls. The stories and memories of people are timeless. I hope with my work I give voices to those who deserve to echo on forever. Big or little, I believe in the power of words and actions. I trust in the people who use that language to make sense and love the mad world we live in.
Often referring to the effect of technology or social justice topics, my work explores how an individual can be impacted in intimate, profound ways. I find that intimate moments layered with a powerful message truly resonates with viewers the most. Everyone has a story to tell and a contribution to share with the universe, and I want to aid in changing the world with those stories.
Having engaged with individuals--such as friends--who wanted to portray their interests and passions through my work, I take on such challenges by creating portrait pieces. I find the most important way to get raw emotion into a piece is through honesty. I try to capture the moments of complete and utter reality. I aim for the viewer to find comfort since, my work is considered to be a look into someone else's life. Unaltered and unapologetic work is pure and beautiful.
By focusing my recent works more in the experimental-ism realm, I can tell the story how I originally envisioned it. I connect the most with experimental and abstract works since, that’s what my creative process looks like. It is genuine and free flowing, making the story malleable and shaping into importance each time it is viewed by a different person. My techniques in Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro help my creative desires to be pursued. I constantly strive to enhance the viewing experience in every way I can from beginning to end. I consider everything to be an important piece to the greater puzzle that is my work.
